Indian decorated Garbo Cake | Quick tutorial

Garba, the renowned dance form of Gujarat is performed in a circle as a symbol of time. Traditionally, the dance is performed around a clay lantern with a light inside, which is called Garbha Deep. A pot or kalash containing holy water is considered as symbol of Goddess Durga. This is placed in the puja room and worshiped for nine days in Navaratri

This is the vanilla cake filled with strawberry ganache and carved into a pot shape. It is coated completely with white chocolate ganache. After that it is covered with rolled red fondant. Various fondant garnishes and sugar laces are made to decorate the pot.

(This Garbo cake was made for the first ever edible fashion show at Ahmedabad, Gujarat in Aakar hospitality expo in collaboration with Ultimakes and Aayna cookery club.)
